Fox has finally revealed the first trailer for its third Wolverine film, Logan. And I got to say, it’s dark, gritty, and pretty impressive.

Hugh Jackman reprises his role as the clawed mutant in what will be his last portrayal of the famed superhero in the X-Men franchise.

Jackman has been playing the mutant superhero for the past 16 years. And while he has delivered an outstanding performance in these films, sadly, all good things must come to an end.

Directed by James Mangold, who previously helmed 2013’s The Wolverine, the sequel sees a sickly Professor X and an older, ailing Wolverine working together to protect a young girl who’s very much like Logan.

Check out the trailer below:

The movie also stars Patrick Stewart as Professor X; Sienna Novikov as the young mutant with powers similar to Logan’s; Boyd Holbrook as Donald Price, the main baddie and head of security for Transigen; Stephen Merchant as Caliban, another mutant who cares for the Professor; and Richard E. Grant as Zander Rice, a scientist working at Transigen.

Logan will claw its way to US theaters on March 3, 2017.

  1. This looks great, lets hope it’s more successful than his previous solo outings. Jackman deserves a good send off!
